FARIDABAD NEWS 17 SEP 2026 : GAUTAM : J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, successfully organised the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026 Internal Screening Round on 10th and 11th September 2026 in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The two-day Internal Hackathon was held under the guidance and leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar and Registrar Prof. Ajay Ranga, with the support and active involvement of the Institution’s Innovation Council. The activities were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Rashmi Agarwal (President, IIC), Dr. Poonam (Vice President, IIC), and Dr. Nikhil Dev (Convener, IIC). The event was coordinated by Dr. Payal Gulati, SPOC, SIH, and Dr. Sonam, Faculty Coordinator.

The Internal Screening Round witnessed an overwhelming response from the university, with 113 teams comprising 678 students participating in the event. The participating teams presented innovative and technology-driven solutions based on the official Smart India Hackathon 2026 problem statements, addressing real-world challenges across diverse domains. The innovative solutions were evaluated through a rigorous screening process by a distinguished jury panel comprising Mr. Neeraj Swarup Sharma, Senior Manager–Technology, Nagarro and SIH Evaluator; Mr. Shitij Nagpal, Group Leader – Program & Delivery Manager, IBM; Dr. Shivam, English Language Educator, Author, Researcher, and Founder of Jashna Edu; and Dr. Munish Khanna, Professor (CSE), Galgotias University.

Following the detailed evaluation and screening process, 46 teams were shortlisted for the next stage of Smart India Hackathon 2026. The successful conduct of the Internal Screening Round marks an important milestone in the university’s continued efforts to promote innovation, creativity, technological ingenuity, and solution-oriented thinking among its students.
