FARIDABAD NEWS 10 FEB 2026 : GAUTAM ;  The Alumni Affairs Cell of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, will host the Golden Jubilee Alumni Meet, titled ‘Sangam-2026’, on 12 February 2026 at the University campus.
Giving details about the event, Prof. Munish Vashishath (Dean, Institution) and Prof. Sanjeev Goyal (Dean, Alumni Affairs), said that this grand reunion marks 50 glorious years since the pioneering 1972-76 batch of the erstwhile YMCA Institute of Engineering began its journey. The batch of 113 students has left an indelible mark on industry and entrepreneurship. While 15 members have sadly passed away, the surviving alumni—now in their 70s and beyond—remain remarkably active and accomplished. An impressive 70-80 percent have built successful careers as entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Many from this trailblazing batch have founded or led thriving enterprises that have significantly shaped India’s industrial and economic growth. Notable companies include Bharti Enterprises, Fuji Gemco Pvt. Ltd., Hind Hydraulics, Velocity Transmissions, Rachitech, Happy Forging, Carry More, Bg2India, and several others. Their stories stand as shining examples of the entrepreneurial spirit, technical excellence, and resilience fostered at the institute.
The event will be graced by distinguished alumnus Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice-Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, along with other prominent corporate leaders and alumni from diverse sectors. Their presence underscores the batch’s enduring impact on innovation, leadership, and industry.
Prof. Rajive Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, will address the gathering and share the University’s ambitious future vision—including academic advancements, new infrastructure like boys’ hostel, establishment of Centres of Excellence, and the roadmap to achieve Institute of National Importance status. His address is expected to inspire pride and renewed commitment among alumni, faculty, and students.
Sangam-2026 promises a heartfelt blend of nostalgia, reconnection, and inspiration. The programme will feature vibrant cultural performances by the University’s enthusiastic student clubs, cherished interactions with former teachers from the 1972-76 era, and a guided campus tour that allows alumni to witness the remarkable transformation of their alma mater—from a modest institute to a modern, expansive university. A specially curated Souvenir Booklet, filled with batch memories, photographs, anecdotes, and milestones, will serve as a cherished keepsake. Beneficiary students of the Bharti Scholarship will have the special opportunity to meet and interact with Shri Rakesh Bharti Mittal. The event will also include inspiring alumni speeches sharing personal journeys, successes, and fond recollections, along with a solemn tribute to the teachers and staff who shaped their formative years.
