J.C. Bose University to launch “Gram Panchayat Scholarship Scheme” on National Panchayati Raj Day
FARIDABAD NEWS 22 APRIL 2026 : GAUTAM : The Community College of Skill Development of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad is organizing a ‘Sarpanch & Principal Meet’ on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, April 23, 2026. The event will witness the formal launch of the “Gram Panchayat Scholarship Scheme” initiated by the Community College.
The programme will be attended by Sarpanchs from various village panchayats, school principals, educationists, and distinguished guests.
Smt. Anjali Shrotriya, ADC Faridabad, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Rajive Kumar, will preside over the event.
The newly launched scheme is a significant step towards connecting economically weaker students from rural areas with higher education and skill development. Under the scheme, eligible students enrolling in the courses offered by the Community College of Skill Development will be provided 100% tuition fee waiver.
Prof. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal of the Community College, informed that the Community College of Skill Development at the University is a leading institution for skill-based higher education in Haryana, established in the year 2013. The college currently offers 6 B.Voc., 3 PG Diploma, and 3 Diploma courses, with approximately 750 students enrolled.
During the event, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Kumar will highlight the University’s initiatives in skill development, employment-oriented education, and entrepreneurship for rural youth. He has also called upon panchayat representatives from the region to actively participate in the programme.
